We have had fun today having a Valentine activity day. Here are some pictures for you to look at.
Have a lovely half term. Don’t forget when you come back that you now have a monitor role in the classroom.

The children in year one have enjoyed learning about ‘algorithms’ – by giving instructions to control a programmable toy to reach a destination. We had fun taking it in turns to be a programmable toy and follow instructions given by the class. The children then went on to write a set of instructions to move from a starting point to a treasure chest on a map.
This week we have enjoyed playing in our role play area, pretending to be travel agents and customers. We have been learning about compass points and the capital cities in the U.K. In R.E. we have looked at the different features within a Church. The children have continued to sit beautifully on the new carpet during whole class teaching sessions. (I know a lot of you have heard about this beautiful addition to the classroom! Ha ha!)
This week the children have enjoyed learning about the United Kingdom. We have also had fun playing in the new Travel Agents role-play area. Today Class 1 have been busy making passports for the role-play area. This included taking passport photos…not smiling on the photos was tricky and has provided some quite amusing pictures for their passports!
