Meet Sticky the Stick Insect.

R very kindly brought her stick insect, called Sticky, to school on Friday. She was able to talk to us about Sticky and answered lots of questions for us. She is letting the Reception children keep Sticky in their class so that they can observe him. Thank you R.

The children in year one have enjoyed learning about ‘algorithms’ – by giving instructions to control a programmable toy to reach a destination. We had fun taking it in turns to be a programmable toy and follow instructions given by the class. The children then went on to write a set of instructions to move from a starting point to a treasure chest on a map.
